#portfolio2020challenge

Theme: Portfolio Showcase

Show us your portfolios!

It’s that time of year where many of us are hard at work on your portfolios to apply to schools or internships. Your portfolio is the representation of yourself as a designer and will speak on your behalf, so it is the most critical work you will submit to schools and firms.

This month, Archi Hacks celebrates the art of drawing with our latest monthly challenge. Show us your favorite spread in your portfolio by posting it on Instagram. We welcome all level and subjects!

Winners

Tina’s portfolio spread show a clear passion for tackling current housing issues, such as affordability and housing in a time of covid-19. We love her earthy-toned and strong graphic style, and in general how much work she put into each project.

Annisa’s portfolio spreads showcase a rural tourism hub in a lovely muted colour palette. We enjoyed her thorough explanation of the project from the regional scale down to site details. Most of all, we loved her physical model of the site which highlighted the topography!

These spreads show a submission to an international competition addressing bringing food production into urban neighbourhoods. We really appreciated the layout of these spreads, using an almost inverted graphic style to place their line-based graphics on top of their beautiful perspective renderings!
